Description
ELG Federal Solutions is seeking an experienced Paralegal (Litigation Support) to support the Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) Program at the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Michigan.
This position provides litigation and eDiscovery support for complex federal civil investigations involving healthcare fraud, False Claims Act matters, Medicare and Medicaid fraud, Controlled Substances Act violations, environmental enforcement, civil rights litigation, and other federal enforcement actions. The successful candidate will work closely with Assistant United States Attorneys, litigation support personnel, federal investigators, and legal teams to manage electronic evidence and support all phases of litigation.

The successful candidate will work closely with Assistant United States Attorneys, litigation support personnel, federal investigators, and legal teams to manage electronic evidence and support all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electronic discovery and litigation support databases.
- Organize, process, index, and maintain documents and digital evidence.
- Create and administer document review databases.
- Review and analyze documents produced during investigations and discovery.
- Assist with document productions, litigation holds, and quality control.
- Utilize litigation support and trial presentation software.
- Support attorneys during hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Prepare reports tracking eDiscovery processing and document production.
- Coordinate with Automated Litigation Support (ALS) staff regarding case data.
- Assist with forensic evidence collection and vendor coordination.
- Troubleshoot litigation support software and technology issues.
- Maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with DOJ policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with attorneys, federal agents, legal staff, and outside counsel.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience providing litigation support or paralegal services.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Electronic Discovery (eDiscovery)
- Document Management
- Database Management
- OCR and Electronic Evidence Processing
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust background investigation.
